Read more in Deanna's blog, Just a week before, Deanna spoke at Orchard Park High School, where she spoke to students as part of a pre-prom assembly, which also included a mock crash. You can also read more about this event in Deanna's blog. Deanna began her school presentations at The Gow School in South Wales in late April. Here are some pictures from that presentation. The young men in grades 7-12 were very attentive, and asked many good questions.
Other high school presentations included Alden, Eden, and Pioneer Central High Schools. She's also spoken at driver's education classes at Williamsville South and health classes at Cleveland-Hill and John F. Kennedy. Thanks to all who donated to CAID. During the presentation, Deanna tells students and faculty about how drunk driving impacted her life, how life has changed since her sister Karen was tragically killed ten years ago, and how she's working to change the way drunk driving is viewed at in the community. Her presentation includes a MS PowerPoint presentation of pictures of Karen throughout the years. |
